Facilities

Marina View School is a well resourced school with a range of facilities that cater for our students current and future learning needs.

Gymnasium

Marina View School has a large Gymnasium, situated near the back of the school, which is used for a number of events and activities. These include prize givings, productions, special assemblies and sports trainings and more. The gymnasium has full changing room facilities and a viewing foyer.

Hall

Our school hall is situated at the front of the school, and is also used for a number of events and activities including assemblies, productions, small prize givings, school  discos, class events and more. The hall has a fully equipped kitchen attached, and a stage at the front. The hall is sometimes hired out to external facilitators – for more information please contact office@marinaview.school.nz

Library

Marina View School is particularly proud of our fully staffed and computerised Library.  All classes visit the Library regularly, and it is also open at break times for students to enjoy.

Turf

Marina View School is lucky to have a recently installed large turf situated at the back of the school next to the Picasso Road entrance. This turf has 4 shorter courts marked out for netball, basketball, hockey and tennis, and a full sized Hockey court running the whole length of the turf. Classes regularly enjoy using the turf, and children can also enjoy this facility during lunchtime when supervised.

Playground / Sandpit

Our school has two playgrounds – a Junior Playground for Year 1-3 students, and a Senior Playground for students in Years 4-8. We also have a sandpit, situated next to the Gymnasium which is open for all ages to enjoy. The school has 3 outdoor courts, one of which is turf, equipped with netball and basketball hoops.
